Big round nuts grow on trees in Kailua.
One big tree is in the median at the central intersection in town. The nuts are thick on the sidewalk.
When I walk across the median, I can hear a "pop" when the nuts hit the pavement. They have a hard shell around the large nut.
Nut trees are also along the sidewalks at the side of the road.
The nuts wash into piles when it rains.
It seems odd to walk on food. Also, its like walking on marbles.
