Entertainment Sunday

Going to the movies hasn't been a quick walk since we got here. While staying on campus, we did a search for the closest theatre and came up with one at the Ward Warehouse, which was three miles from UH. The Varsity theatre near campus was closed. We found an apartment in Kailua where, also, the theatre was closed. So, from the other side of the island, it is still quicker to go to the Ward Centers. But, it is well worth the trip. The theatre comes with an escalator to the Box Office, a waterfall outside and an awesome concessions area inside. On one end, there is a fruit stand -- yes, fresh fruit at the movies. At the other end, there are fresh roasted nuts that are really yummy. In the middle is popcorn. The individual theatres are large and clean and the arms between the seats are set to the up position by default.

The most interesting thing about Sundays is that televised football starts early. Really early. Like at breakfast.A recent newspaper review of a new sports bar mentioned its breakfast buffet.
