Evening Farmers Market

There is an evening Farmers Market in Kailua each Thursday sponsored by the Farm Bureau. In the summer, this place was so crowded you could hardly walk through. Now, there still are lines most places. It is set up inside the parking garage in front of Long's Drug Store. The roof provides shelter for the frequent showers and lights for early evenings. Many community events are held there. While the morning market looks like what someone could grow in a garden (or catch from the sea), the evening market has more prepared foods. There is island coffee, also honey and salad dressing.
Things not found in a mainland farmers market, like seaweed.Local ice cream with a brand new flavor. And, of course, FLOWERS!
